About GreenAcres

Built for lawn and snow companies. Nobody else.

GreenAcres Automation is a Pennsylvania company I founded to build one software platform for lawn care and snow removal businesses: a web dashboard for the office, a mobile app for owners and crews, and a portal for your customers. It hasn't launched yet, and this page tells you where things stand.

How GreenAcres got started

GreenAcres Automation started with a simple observation: the businesses that keep our neighborhoods looking good are some of the hardest-working and most under-served companies out there.

I'm Michael Smith, and I grew up in Pennsylvania, where the seasons don't ease into each other. One week it's mowing, edging and cleanups. The next it's 2 a.m. snow calls, crews scrambling and customers wondering when their driveway will be cleared. The owners running these companies are out in the field all day, and the office work (answering leads, sending quotes, chasing invoices, rebuilding the schedule every time the weather turns) happens at the kitchen table at night. Or it doesn't happen at all, and the work goes to whoever called back first.

I saw it up close watching a single owner-operator lawn care business try to keep up. The work itself was never the problem; he was great at it. But every missed call while he was on a mower, every quote that didn't go out until days later, every customer who never heard back was money walking out the door. Not because he wasn't good enough, but because one person can't be in the field and in the office at the same time.

When I started building AI tools, lawn care and snow removal were the obvious place to start. My first product was an AI lead responder that answers every inquiry in under a minute, so an owner never loses a job because they were on a mower when the phone rang. Then came a snow dispatcher, because nothing tests a small operation like the first big storm of the year.

The more I built, the clearer it became that owners didn't need another patchwork of apps. They needed one system that handles the business side so they can focus on the work. That's what GreenAcres is becoming: a single platform with a website, a web dashboard and a mobile app for owners and crews. It quotes jobs from an address, schedules and routes crews, reschedules around the weather, sends invoices and collects payment, and keeps customers coming back.

GreenAcres is built in Pennsylvania by someone who knows what a long season feels like. My goal is simple: fewer missed calls, fewer late nights, and more time for the work that actually grows your business.

How I'm building it

  • Lawn and snow only

GreenAcres is built for lawn care and snow removal companies and nobody else. Every part of it is shaped around routes, crews, seasons, and storms.

  • Plain language, no tech talk

You run crews, not computers. I say what each feature does in words you'd use on the job.

  • Honest about where things stand

GreenAcres hasn't launched yet. You won't find made-up reviews or made-up numbers on this site. When pricing and sign-up are ready, I'll say so.
